Alkar Human Resources is currently hiring Temporary Construction Laborers to assist the Public Works Department with an upcoming building construction project. If you have hands-on construction experience, enjoy working outdoors, and are looking for a great temporary opportunity, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

Assist with commercial and municipal building construction projects.
Safely use a variety of hand and power tools.
Perform general construction labor, including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.
Support skilled trades and supervisors with daily project tasks.
Operate or assist with scissor lifts and Gradall forklifts (experience is a plus but not required).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Follow all safety guidelines and Public Works procedures.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Previous construction or general labor experience is required.
Experience operating a scissor lift or Gradall forklift is preferred but not required.
Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
Strong attention to safety and the ability to follow instructions.

Schedule:

9/80 Work Schedule:

Monday–Thursday: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Working Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Every other Friday off

Schedule may change based on departmental needs.
